Day Ten

There is much excitement in our house

We're awaiting the arrival of the Queen!

Our new bed is arriving today and we can't wait! We've been sleeping on a mattress that is waaaay past is comfort date and today is the day we push it out the front door never to return. Drew and I have had too many broken night's sleep and suffered through backache every morning for months. We finally bit the bullet so to speak and went in search of a new bed, but not just any bed, a bigger much more comfortable bed. For 17 years we have been sleeping on a double and by the time you add 2 kids to the mix it's been mighty squishy. Today we experience the wide open space of a Queen! While we would love the splash out for the luxurious spaciousness of a King, if we ever actually want to be able to get into our bedroom again, let alone actually open the cupboards again or have bedside tables, we must settle for her majesty.

I have a new woollen underlay, a new King sized doona and new bedlinen all waiting patiently for a royal audience. I can't wait for a blissful night's sleep tonight. Wish us luck.

PS ... The Queen is here and she is fabulous.
